Kaye Levine Painter
Albany,
New York
I had an early interest in Art since my formative
years. Studying textiles and silk screen in high school, i was encouraged
to develop vivid sense of color and texture. I received my undergraduate
degree in Art Education from Michigan State University and permanent
certification for K-12 Art Education in 1967. Since that time I
have been active teaching art in elementary school, and adults in
Reading and comprehension skills. I received permanent certification
for general teaching K-6 in 1976.
I have also worked for BOCES in several counties and have also taught
students with disabilities. I am now an art instructor with Living
Resources, helping adults with disabilities create art related projects.
Currently I am focused on my own oil painting, taking workshops
at the Woodstock School of Art. I paint predominately Landscapes,
still life and figures. I derive great pleasure form the act of
painting and working directly from nature\
