Diana Cook
Painter, illustrator

Saratoga Springs , New York

I was born in Washington DC in 1963 and earned a Bachelor of fine Arts degree form Rhode Island School of Design in 1985.

In 1987, I attended L'Ecole Superieur de Peinture in Brussels, Belgium for six month long intensive study course in faux finishes and trompe l'oeil.
For the last 18 years I have been a decorative painter, who's work has included murals, painted furniture, and accessories, painted floors and floor clothes, wall finishes and fine art. I have been commissioned to work through out the United States as well as internationally. My work has been featured in The world of interiors, Feb 1992 And Architectural Digest February 2000. I also served as the decorative painting consultant for The Pocket Decorator, a mini-encyclopedia of design by Leslie Banker and Pamela Banker, 2004.

In 2003 I took a couple of years off to bring the Curtain Exchange, a franchise specializing in high quality ready-made curtains to Saratoga Springs, NY. My knowledge of color, texture and design made it easy to transition from painting to helping customers choose the right curtains and hardware for their homes. At the end of 2005 I sold this business which still thrives on broadway of Saratoga, and decided to go back to painting full time. I contributed my painting skills to the 2005 Showcase of Homes in Saratoga Springs and the 2006 Vanguard Show House.

Throughout my career as a decorative painter, I have continued to work on my fine art. I paint landscapes in pastel and oil, botanicals, and animal portraits. I have shown my work in Manhattan, Washington DC, Hyde Park, NY and presently at Framework in Saratoga springs, NY.

To best meet the needs of my clients and to utilize my many years of experience in enhancing interior spaces, I now offer the following services:
